Yup... my job has outlived its usefulness to me, and is not worth it for the pay rate I make now... they have been dicking around with our pay, and I just went from making $12 an hour to $8 (and that's for the percentage of the time that I'm actually getting paid for, since the "transactional hours" for which we are paid do not equate to the actual time we're on the clock and working ). Plus, they keep giving us more and more work to do, and adding more regulations that make the stress unbearable. If anyone's wondered what made me temporarily lose interest in art, the stress and mental exhaustion wold be the main reasons.

And so, I'm going to go back to doing what I was before I started at this job... I'll try my hand at doing some more commissioned art and also finally get some work done on my comics. It's been a long time since I was in the mood to create quality work, and when the opportunities arose for me to become involved in larger projects that could have possibly become profitable in the future, it was always either:
A) Something I was not interested in, or
B) A project that the creators weren't really taking seriously themselves, and I ended up being the only one doing the work for something that was never even going to get off the ground.

This time, I'll be a little wiser about the kinds of business partners I end up with, as I proceed toward pursuing a life doing the things I am truly passionate about!

I'll try doing local freelance work for a month or so; if it doesn't work out, I've already requested some information from an Air Force recruiter, so... as always, I have a backup plan!


But for now, you can expect me to become a bit more active on here again; now that I'll have a lot more time and a lot less stress, I'll have the time and energy to produce work that will be worth posting on here!
