First of all, I'm doing much better now! The medicine the doctor gave me to treat the chest pains is working, and I've been able to get caught up at work again! :dance: I apologize for worrying everyone.

Now, the only thing keeping me from producing art is this:
short white pencil

Since I use the PC938 White pencil the most (for highlights and blending gradients) it has seen the most wear and is almost unusable now... with PC935 Black and PC914 Cream following not too far behind. I've been using these pencils' condition as an excuse for not producing a whole lot of colored pencil work, since I didn't want to waste them and have to buy a whole new set just for a handful of colors.

However, I found out I could simply order individual replacements through Blick's Art Materials for surprisingly cheap... so I went ahead and placed an order today for some replacements and was able to get a few colors that weren't included in the set I have (which is the largest Prismacolor set available... ^^; ). So now that makes another limitation to my art which has been eliminated recently. :nod:

It was the result of a chronic condition that wasn't properly diagnosed a few years ago (inflammation in my ribs / tissue between ribs and organs), which was suddenly made worse by a medication I had been recently prescribed for an unrelated condition.

I'm much better now, though! :hug:

What about the colorless blender ? Those are pretty sweet.

Congrats on your recovery btw. :nod:

I've found that the colorless blender is slightly harder than the pencils, causing the pigment flakes to look rougher than they should (though the colors do blend, the finished gradient isn't quite smooth). ;P

Thank you for the well-wishing! :hug:

Ha! I'm toally with you on those teeny used pencils. I used to have the same problem back when I still did traditional medium. =P At least you got some replacements.

At least your chest is okay. Yout immflamtion ounds ver similar to what I have, except mine effects the tissues between my ribs and breastbone. :o

It got down to the point of being afraid to use my materials because they were originally so expensive, I tell you! :lol:

As for the chest thing, I think the condition might be similar too... possibly the only thing that led to the sudden severity of mine was the steroid my doctor had prescribed me for a different problem. :happycry: Just like that old phrase goes, "a cure that's worse than the disease." ^^;
