Spoilers for the later part of the Anubis story arc of my series, DevilSaint. :D

Those who know the connection between Justin and Adrian, and the backstory of Nepeta should be able to guess what happened to Amanda before this scene. Needless to say, she becomes the most powerful of the Avatars really quickly. ^^;

I'm really happy with how her facial expression turned out here; I was going for the sort of effect seen on Rena from "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni." Also, yes I know the border looks kind of bad where the lines went into the masking margin, but I kind of like it. DON'T MESS!

EDIT 4/24/2008
I've just received notice from the DA staff that some douche has reported this piece as "stolen artwork." Now, I'm very protective of my work, and as many of you probably already know, I DO NOT TOLERATE false accusations. So, without further ado, I bring proof that this is, in fact, my own original work:
EXHIBIT A: Me, holding the original piece: [link]
EXHIBIT B: The materials involved in the creation of the piece, including the back of the paper it was painted on: [link]
EXHIBIT C: A closeup of my signature on the original, and all of the other pictures of the same character in my gallery: [link]
EXHIBIT D: The pictures of the specific armor form of the aforementioned character (though I ditched the cape in the new version) [link] , and also the weapon she is holding in the newer picture: [link]

So, if you feel like giving it another go and reporting me again, let this be a warning that I do have proof that yes, this is my own work. :finger:

And if any members of DA staff are reading this, if you wouldn't mind please ban whoever it is that reported my work if they do it again! Thank you. :|

Thank you! I figured it was time to take a few steps into unfamiliar territory, in using several techniques which I had never used before all in the same picture. It turned out better than I had expected it to! :D

I wonder what kind of reception this one might get in the club gallery... :plotting:

Nah, it's the obligatory "∀ Gundam" reference. :D

That was one of the greatest anime of all time... for those who are into giant robots, anyway... ^^;

Thank you! I figured that such an important image just wouldn't have the right impact without a background, so I decided that I'd better learn how to do them. :D

Thank you! I mainly prefer the textures of traditional media, and the fact that it (to me) is still easier than digital. :lol:
